KSN Storm Track 3 Digital Extra: Rainfall and drought trends as we head into fall

Weather Stories

The high pressure system that parked itself to the west of Kansas has been in control of most of our weather over the past few weeks. This has pushed a lot of moisture from entering into the region and the drought conditions reflect that, especially out in western Kansas.

Rainfall is about an inch to two inches below average for the majority of the state this month.

As fall approaches rainfall totals will continue to trend downwards each month through winter.
